Oceana

So, it's official. Jason will be getting stationed back here in Virginia. Oceana Naval Base to be exact. We are excited to start our family and find our first house for our family and all of that good stuff together. We also may have possibly found a name to settle on for our baby boy. Two more months to go! We are also starting to get everything set up for his arrival. The baby shower last weekend went beautifully and now he has some stuff to welcome him into the world, thanks to our friends and family. It was wonderful. Yay!!! We're getting really excited!

Home in Virginia!!

OK, so ix-ne on the South Carolina thing! We realized that it's not practical at all for Jason to go down there without me and go out to sea for six months as soon as he gets there. That would leave me here in Chesapeake as a single mommy for almost a year in all by the end of it! Soooo... new plan, he's trying to be stationed here in the Chesapeake area, which means we'll be together as a family with our new little baby. We just have to wait until he comes home from Bahrain in May and we're good! We had a funny feeling about how all of this was going to work and the South Carolina thing sounded fun (for once I get down there too) but definitely not good in the process. We are happy to be able to be together and find a home together for us and Baby next summer! Maybe staying here in the Virginia Beach area won't be so bad after all! A beach is a beach, right... and also close to family is nice. Oh, and it looks like we're starting to settle on some name options for the little one too! Less than three months to go now... getting close!

25 Weeks... and still NO name!!

It is so hard to believe that it's already been 25 weeks, and even more impossible to believe that that means there are only about 15 more to go! Our poor little boy, adorable as he is (this picture is not of him, by the way... it's a general one Babycenter.com shows for the 25 week baby)... anway, adorable as he is, still does not have a name!! We have come up with a few prospects, but can't seem to settle on one! Actually it goes a little more like this... I pick one I like, tell Jason about it, he says "Eww, no", then he comes around a couple days later and after about a week or two of loving it, I change my mind out of boredom!! I can't help it, it just happens! So, he's going unnamed, as of yet. Just found out that Jason's cousin, Ashlie, had her baby boy, Daniel Alexander yesterday, Yay!! He will only be a few months older than our little one, and then there's my BFF Lauren who's due two months after me!!! I'm soo excited, our son's going to have all kinds of friends his age!

Our Story...

We were married on April 13, 2008 in Fredericksburg, Virginia with all of our family and friends there that matter the most to us. A week later we went on our honeymoon, which was wonderful! About six weeks later we found out that we were expecting a honeymoon baby!!! Jason left for Bahrain (Navy tour= 1 year) the day we found out we were expecting :( We are excited to build our life together (starting from afar) and welcome our little one into the world in January. Welcome to our story....
