After many months of missing his favorite tv series, my husband decided to cave because we needed HBO… according to him. This decision increased our cable bill by, I think it was, about $20/month!! Twenty dollars!! That’s quite an increase! But, I didn’t say a word, except for something along the lines of “That’s nice, honey”… because it’s not That big of a deal. I know that we’re supposed to be cutting back to get things more in order. We’re supposed to be reevaluating and revamping our budget. We’re supposed to be reducing debt, and in turn, reducing our stress level, right. But, it is also important for us to let each other be happy, and when it comes to something that my husband has mentioned that he misses greatly, weekly for approximately the past five months and six days then I think I’d rather dodge having the responsibility debate with him and just let him have his luxury and be happy. After all, the reason we didn’t get HBO to begin with was because it was that or DVR (to come free with our cable package) and I HAD to have DVR, so I think it’s only fair. So, now my husband’s happy and I’m only slightly irritated by having to see either football, football recaps, football discussion and debate, or Entourage on the tv. Actually though, it is nice to have the new break from football, even though I don’t love his favorite show. My favorite show of all time that I’m addicted to is on ABC, as I’ve mentioned before I’m obsessed with Grey’s Anatomy, so I fully understand. So, for every three or four (half hour) shows of Entourage I now have to sit through, Jason owes me a full episode of Grey’s and half or so of an episode of Private Practice, although he can be back and forth on that one… he doesn’t always need to be in the room, as long as I get to watch it in silence and he takes care of entertaining Alex so I can watch. This is our new agreement and it’s going well.
AND, what he doesn’t know, until he possibly reads this blog entry (oops), is that I’m actually really enjoying HBO on demand! Regular HBO was nothing to me until they invented the On Demand option! It’s Awe.some! I love that no matter how much crappy tv is on our hundreds of channels I can always find a movie On Demand, which also means that if I’m comfy I don’t have to get up and go grab a DVD, which I’ve seen eighty thousand times and put it in the dvd player and change the settings on four different remotes to get it to work, then when I have to get up and do something else I can pause the dvd player but it does the annoying replay thing and if I let it just run without watching it goes back to the main menu instead of just tv and I like to have something on as background noise, so it’s annoying. SO, I’m loving On Demand. We’ve had it a week and I’ve watched P.S. I Love You, which I had never seen before and it’s fabulous!! It’s an awesome love story, sad story line, but they make it so good and not so mopey, with a little funny, it’s just perfect. Helps too that it features Gerard Butler, Harry Conick Jr, AND Jeffrey Dean Morgan!! And both Gerard and Jeffrey are Irish in this movie so they have really cool accents, which is even better! The movie also has some scenes where they are actually in Ireland, which is beautiful! I just love it, it’s a great movie, and I’ve watched it one and a half times already. We’ve also watched The Bucket List, which is a great one too, and 27 Dresses (while Jason was at work yesterday). Anyway, long story short (too late), I’m Loving HBO!!!

I <3 Grey's and Private Practice... We gave up cable entirely, so I have to watch all my shows online... Thank God for Networks like ABC and FOX streaming! I also loved P.S. I Love You... You should check out the film I just screened, The Boys Are Back... It has a similar feel to it...
